What exactly is Firefacts.org? Is it a web site or CD?

Firefacts.org is an educational learning system that incorporates the use of both web content and an interactive CD-ROM. The CD is the primary piece, containing all the information needed to teach students, and their parents, the basic principles of fire safety. The web site, www.firefacts.org, contains additional content for students, parents and educators.

What makes your CD so different from other fire safety educational products?

Firefacts.org created the first and only interactive fire safety CD. Our CD was first released in 2008, and in it's first year became the #1 fire safety educational system used in the US. Simply put, there is no other product like it.

Does it work on Apple computers, or just PC?

Or CD works on both Mac (Apple) and PC platforms.

Is your CD endorsed by any fire safety organizations and/or companies?

Our CD has earned only the highest praise from those within the fire safety arena. Our first endorsements came from local fire departments and educators. Within months of it's release in 2008, we gained the endorsements of State Fire Marshals, Departments of Education, and most recently, the California Fire Chiefs Association. Our first company endorsement came from First Alert, and followed most recently by Farmers Insurance, both of whom are sponsors of the Firefacts.org Fire Safety Learning CD.

How do I get started?

We recommend that you start by viewing our section "Success starts here." You'll find simple step by step instructions, from labeling your discs to making contact with your local fire department.

Are schools the only recommended use for your CD?

Not at all. In fact, schools are only one avenue, and may or may not be the best place to start. Please take a look at "Marketing Strategies," and for additional ideas review our "Creative Concepts" sections.

Is there somewhere I can learn about the CD?

What is "Agent Connect"?

Agent Connect is an important function built into every CD. When our CD is being used on a computer with Internet access, a Farmers Insurance banner automatically is displayed across the lower part of the program screen. By clicking on this banner, the user is instantly taken to a web page showing the many ways Farmers Insurance is active in local communities. From this page, users are provided easy access to your Farmers web page. For more information, and to see a working example, click here.

How do I learn how to put on a school rally?

Behind our "Tools & Resources" tab, you'll find all the information you'll need to put on a successful school event, from how to contact your local fire department, to how to put on a fire safety rally.
